The 65 hectares of this immaculately kept chateau roll down to the Gironde. The vines here are 65 per cent cabernet sauvignon, 25 per cent merlot, with cabernet franc and petit verdot in the minority.
About 19,000 cases of the grand vin are produced annually after 18 months in oak barrels. The 2003 vintage is stunning. Expect a dark black hue, powerful perfume and a wine that probably won’t peak until 2025.
