Since the year 1300 this area supplied France with its best wines. Sadly, only 8,000 cases of this delicious first growth are produced annually.
Built in 1713 the original chateau has undergone renovation with a new bottling plant, tasting rooms and storage area opened in 2007. Like all the top estates the harvest is gathered by hand from 21 hectares and the wine matured in barrels for 22 months. Denser, riper and more savage than its brother across the old Arachon road in Pessac. A wine of history, tradition and undoubted class.
