Domaine Leflaive, Montrachet

France > Burgundy > Cote de Beaune

Domaine Leflaive, based in Puligny-Montrachet, is one of the most important producers in the Côte de Beaune. Focusing almost entirely on white wines made from Chardonnay, the Domaine makes four grand cru wines and four premier crus in Puligny-Montrachet.

Domaine Leflaive's most important wine is arguably the Montrachet Grand Cru, which, depending on vintage, can fetch upwards of $5000 a bottle. An absolutely great wine. The average rating for the vintages runfrom a minimum of 99/100 to a ‘normal’ one of 100/100. This wine is impossible to find in wine shops be it because of the limited quantity produced, be it for the fact that it is ‘objectively’ considered to be the greatest white wine on the planet.
